COMMON NAMES: Rose Gum; German Eucalyptusbaume

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Australia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands - mountains (+)

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Forestry, post/rail

KEY FEATURES: Tall evergreen tree to 50m. BARK white, grey or green, smooth, peeling in long narrow strips. ADULT LEAVES alternate, lance-like, 20x4cm, curved, sides wavy. FLOWERS axil clusters of 5-12. FRUITS pyriform or conical, 8x6mm.
