General Information

COMMON NAMES: Tallow-wood Gum; German Eucalyptusbaume

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Australia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: (Forestry)

KEY FEATURES: Tall evergreen to 40m. BARK rough and persistent, brown to red-brown. ADULT LEAVES alternate, lance-like, to 13x3cm, thin, dark above and pale below, edges slightly crenulate, lance-like; stalk 1cm. FLOWERS axillary clusters 7-9, white to cream. FRUIT obconical, 10x6mm.
