COMMON NAMES: Rubber Tree, India-rubber Tree, India-rubber Fig, Snake Plant, Assam Rubber; German Gummibaum

TRADITIONAL NAMES: Rapa (RR MG AK MH), Pū Rapa (AT); Other Polynesian - Mati (SAM)

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE India - Malaya

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental leaves; Weed - moderate (gardens only)

KEY FEATURES: Cv. 'Decor' LEAVES wide-oval midrib creamy-white. There are several cultivars.
