GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE S.America

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental leaves

KEY FEATURES: A creeping herb used as ground cover. The paired, wide-oval leaves are smooth edged, green with network of red or white veins. Small, inconspicuous yellowish, two-lipped flowers.
