TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); LILIOPSIDA (=Monocotyledones); COMMELINIDAE; Cyperales; POACEAE
SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
BIODIVERSITY: Globally endangered (critically). Comment: Known only from a couple of cliff faces at mid to high elevation in inland Rarotonga.
GENERAL NOTE: Closely related to the widespread Pacific Garnotia stricta [Sykes, pers.comm. 5/2001].
