TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); ASTERIDAE; Asterales; ASTERACEAE
IDENTIFICATION: Perennial herb with large basal leaves and long-stalked flower. LEAVES basal cluster, large, narrow to wide, to 25x10cm, lobes shallow to deep. FLOWER on long stalk, daisy-like, to 12cmØ; petals numerous, strap-like to 5cm, pale pink, orange to red, sometimes white.
