SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Material (Wood). Comments: MATERIAL: Timber hardwood excellent, pink.

GENERAL NOTE: Glochidion ramiflorum was formerly given range PNG to Cooks, but Smith [Fiji flora] stops it in Vanuatu, then concolor from Fiji to Cooks. French Polynesia has 22 endemic species [Florence, flora]. Sykes (pers.comm.) has conclor on Rarotonga, and tentatively puts makatea island plants into Glochidion taitense.
