General Information

COMMON NAMES: Keeled Clubmoss, Keeled Tassel-fern

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE India - Indonesia - Rarotonga

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group - RR only, rare; N.Group - absent; Land, mountains (+); mid-elevations

KEY FEATURES: Epiphyte with cluster of ascending fronds to 15cm. FROND with 1-2 branches. FROND INNER 70% with sharp, slender-oval leaflets to 10x2mm. FROND OUTER 30% with 4-tiers of triangular leaflets to 3x2mm, with SORI at base.

IDENTIFICATION: Epiphyte with fronds erect then arching. FRONDS to 15cm; slender, with 1-2 ascending branches; INNER 70% round, surrounded by slender-oval leaflets, to 10x2mm, tips sharp; and OUTER 30% square, triangular leaflets to 3x2mm, in 4-tiers. SORI at base of outer leaflets.
