SYNONYMS: Microsorium punctatum 'Grandiceps'; Polypodium punctatum; Microsorium polycarpon
TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; PTERIDOPHYTA (=Pterophyta); Polypodiales; POLYPODIACEAE
GENERAL NOTE: This common hydrid fern probably developed in Tahiti where both the parents are present. In the Cook Islands one parent is native (Phymatosorus grossus), and the other Microsorum punctatum is introduced.
