Miscanthus floridulus (Labill.)
SYNONYMS: Miscanthus japonicus [sensu, incl. TC]; Saccharum floridulus
TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); LILIOPSIDA (=Monocotyledones); COMMELINIDAE; Cyperales; POACEAE
GENERAL NOTE: Stems used as throwing darts (teka). Stems formerly used in walls (AW90). Stems used to weave hats on Mangaia (AW90). ACSm leaves very important in thatched roofs in Fiji.
