General Information

COMMON NAMES: Florist's Pandanus, Veitch Screw-Pine, Variegated Screw-Pine; German Schraubenbaumarten, Schraubenpalmen

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE possibly s.Polynesia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental leaves; Injurous spines - moderate

KEY FEATURES: Small tree. LEAVES spirally arranged, straplike, 150x7cm, with small spines, light green with white stripes on/near margin. FLOWERS and FRUIT unknown. Cv. 'Compactus' dwarf form.
