TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); LILIOPSIDA (=Monocotyledones); ARECIDAE; Pandanales; PANDANACEAE
SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Ornamental leaves, Material (Adornment). Comments: Samoa and Tonga: used for making mats and baskets.
NEGATIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Injurous spines - moderate
GENERAL NOTE: Red, fragrant fruits used in ei (AW90). ACSm in Fiji considered the best for fine mats and handicraft articles.
