GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE se.Asia - ?Pacific - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental flowers

KEY FEATURES: A sprawling shrub with angled stems to 2.5m, and clusters of white flowers. LEAVES ovate to 12cm, without teeth; petiole 1cm. FLOWERS long-clusters; small, 20mm long, lobes obovate 6mm long; white. Anthers blue or purple. FT within sticky calyx, capsule 5mm long, glabrous. SEED 4mm, dark purple brown.
