TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); LILIOPSIDA (=Monocotyledones); ZINGIBERIDAE; Zingiberales; STRELITZIACEAE. COMMENT: Sometimes included in the family MUSACEAE (Banana).

More Information

GENERAL NOTE: Called Traveller's Tree because it contains clean water at the base of the leaves. A half to one pint per leaf.
