TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); ASTERIDAE; Campanulales; CAMPANULACEAE
SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
BIODIVERSITY: Globally endangered (seriously). Comment: Known from a few plants at mid-elevation to high elevation in inland Rarotonga.
GENERAL NOTE: The genus Sclerotheca contains 4-5 species and is endemic to Southeast Polynesia (Rarotonga - 1 species, Rapa, Tahiti, and Marquesas).
