TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); LILIOPSIDA (=Monocotyledones); ZINGIBERIDAE; Zingiberales; STRELITZIACEAE. COMMENT: Sometimes included in the family MUSACEAE (Banana).
