TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); HAMAMELIDAE; Urticales; ULMACEAE
SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
BIODIVERSITY: Nationally endangered (seriously). Comment: Known from one collection in a valley on Rangimotia on Mangaia.
GENERAL NOTE: Known within Cooks from a extreme inland valley forest remnant on Mangaia, east of Rangimotia at c.450ft.
Vouchers:
Mangaia: specimen near top of Rangimotia in a gully, B.Sykes 1974, BotDivChch 287299 as Trema orientalis (L.) Blume, to Trema cannabrinum Lour. in 1979.
