POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Material (Fibre)
NEGATIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Weed - serious, Invasive - mild. Comments: Very widespread and common in agricultural areas and along inland valley floors. Woody and strong rooting, making it very difficult to remove. A very persistent weed in agricultural areas, but minor as an invasive in undisturbed ecosystems.
