General Information

COMMON NAMES: Rehder's Chiton

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Niue and Palmerston

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore, intertidal

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Nil

KEY FEATURES: To 2cm. Shells light tan with greyish-green edges and a central brown stripe. Shells have a granular surface. Girdle is fleshy and covered with small white non-branching spinelets to 0.9mm long.
