General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Japan - Cooks - Tuamotu - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace 10x15mm. Carapace with high lobules separated by deep furrows filled with downy fur and long hairs. Anterolateral border has 4 rounded lobes. Chelipeds have rounded nodules on wrist and palm. Walking legs are very hairy. [mainly after Edmondson 1962]
