TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; HEXAPODA; INSECTA; PTERYGOTA; Thysanoptera; PHLAEOTHRIPIDAE. COMMENT: Note: English singular is Thrips, not Thrip.
SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Biocontrol - origin?. Comments: Recorded as predacious (along with Karynothrips) in Hawaii by Zimmerman (1948 in W&D79). Collected at Titikaveka, Rarotonga on Mango (W&D79).
