General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Great Barrier Reef - Cook Islands

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Flat, massive coral.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Very similar to Psammocora and was previously known as P. exesa. Psammocora corallites usually 2-3mm, while this species is 5mm, and this species has more solid septa, sometimes fused together.
