General Information

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Gp.01 Unattached circular fungiid coral, to 25cm diam. with a single central mouth. Main septa in nearly equal cycles, with moderate ±triangular teeth, and slit-like holes. Costa on the underside are nearly equal, with conical and spinulose spines.

SIMILAR SPECIES: F. danai, which differs in having unequal costa.
