General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - w.Pacific - Cooks - Tuamotu - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace 25x40mm. A relatively long-armed xanthid. Carapace well marked into areas by depressions; anterolateral border has 4 major teeth, and a couple of small ones. Chelipeds are unequal, and rough surfaced; fingers hollow tipped. Walking legs are sparsely haired. [mainly after Edmondson 1962]
