General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE w.Pacific - Cooks - Tuamotu - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace 9x15mm (LxW), may reach 20mm wide. Yellowish or pale brown. Most of carapace divided into finely granular lobes by shallow grooves. Anterolateral border has two inignificant lobes and two forming rounded teeth. Chelipeds and walking legs finely granular. [mainly after Edmondson 1962]
