COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; Land, horticultural

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Pest

KEY FEATURES: Minute fly to 1.5mmBL. COLOUR black with cream face, thorax sides and posterior projection. WINGS first are clear; second are cream knobs. LEGS brown.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Serpentine Leaf-miner (Liriomyza brassicae) is separated by experts only, and it is known from Guam, Fiji, Kiribati and Niue. Liriomyza sativae is known from Guam, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Samoa, Cooks, and French Polynesia.
