General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Cooks - Societies - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace 11x16mm. Carapace fairly flat, smooth, without hairs. Anterolateral margin crested with four small lobes, the last two slightly pointed. Cheliped massive and equal with granular surface, and with short, pointed fingers. Walking legs smooth, crested and sparsely hairy. [mainly after Edmondson 1962]
