General Information

COMMON NAMES: Non-petalled Heart-urchin

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Oval, fine-spined heart-urchin, 4.5x3.5x2cm, mouth and anus on underside. Five ambulacra do not form sunken petals, but are outlined by a small groove on each side.
