General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Indian Ocean - Cooks - Tuamotu

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace 25mm wide. Carapace entirely covered with strong transverse and oblique ridges bearing small bristles; front more than half maximum width; no anterolateral tooth; slightly converging posteriorly. Chelipeds stout, with

SIMILAR SPECIES: The lack of a anterolateral tooth and the bristles on the coarse ridges are definitive.
