General Information

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group (AK); N.Group?; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Gp.10 Thick upright blades, >2cm thick and often 20cm across, with and undulating and sub-lobed surface. Light grey or brownish-grey. Lacks ridges and shows a more reguar distribution of calices. Corallites 1.2-2.0mm diameter, with the septacostae conspicuously alternating in height and thickness.
