General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Marshalls - Cooks - Tuamotu - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace 18x28mm. Brown with black fingers. Smooth furrows divide the carapace into finely granulated lobules. Anterolateral border has 4 near-equal conical teeth. Chelipeds sub-equal and roughened by tubercles. Walking legs granular with some small hairs. [mainly after Edmondson 1962]
