Simplicia caeneusalis (Walker, 1859)
TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; HEXAPODA; INSECTA; PTERYGOTA; Lepidoptera; NOCTUIDAE
IDENTIFICATION: Medium moth (?size) smoky buff with lighter line crossing wing near to outer margin.
Forewings more or kess oblong; darker markings and buff line crossing wings near margin. Hind wings greyer. Underside greyish buff with faint darker lines. Head, Thorax, Abdomen, Legs and Antennae smoky buff.
GENERAL NOTE: Caterpillar rough-skinned, feeding in litter in grass and herbage turf.
