COMMON NAMES: Merten's Anemone

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Indonesia - Tuamotu

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: A masssive anemone, often 100+cm diameter, forming a much convuluted carpet. Usually various shades of green with short tentacles. But colour is variable.
