SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Food (Beche-de-mer). Comments: Exported from some countries as a mid-grade Beche-de-mer - not from the Cook Islands. (mid-1990 - 8US$/kg)
GENERAL NOTE: Can reproduce by transverse fission, as can Holothuria atra. A method of reproduction called fissiparous.
