TRADITIONAL NAMES: Pāpaka Tātararoa (RR), Pāpaka Kōteka (AK)

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Japan - Fr.Polynesia - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore, mudflats and esturaries

KEY FEATURES: Carapace LxW 51x74mm. Six blunt lobes on front, ecluding broad inner eye-tooth. Anterolateral border 5 large sharp teeth of about equal size - including the tooth behind the eye.
