General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Japan - Australia - Cooks

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace LxW, 50x75mm. Anterolateral border with 5 teeth, the 4th being rudimentary. Frontal has 6 truncate lobes, about equal width but well separated; supraorbital tooth convex and not very broad.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Similar to Thalamita picta, but present species is twice as large, and has beading on inner surface of palm (propodus).
