GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Cooks - Gambiers - Tuamotu - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Poisonous to eat - serious

KEY FEATURES: Carapace 38x60mm. Carapace smooth, hairless and sculptured; dark purple-red with pale spots and network; 4 anterolateral teeth - 1st broad, rest toothed at tip. Cheliped smooth, palm hairless with 1 outer groove. Walking legs thickly fringed with hair.
