COMMON NAMES: Yellow-tail Basslet

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Niue - Line Islands & Tuamotu; s. to Australs

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group (RR); Marine, near-shore, outer reef-slope to 35m; near the substrate

KEY FEATURES: To about 12cm. Sexually dimorphic. Both have yellow tail. FEMALE has blue body, while MALE body is darker with orange patches.
