GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Societies, Hawai‘i - tropical America; n. to s.Japan; s. to Lord Howe

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; A moray often seen in shallow water during the day. It has flat, grinding teeth. PLUS: ; Marine, near-shore, reef-flat
