GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Fr.Polynesia; n. to s.Japan; s. to NSW

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; N.Group only.; Marine, near-shore deepbottom (100-450m, usually ~300m)

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Food fish
