TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; CHORDATA; GNATHOSTOMATA (Jawed Vertebrates); PISCES; OSTEICHTHYES; Perciformes; Scombroidei; SCOMBRIDAE, Thunnini
GENERAL NOTE: In large schools with other tunas. Opportunistic feeder on fishes, shrimps and cephalopods. Often preyed upon by marlins and sharks.
