COMMON NAMES: Longface Emperor, Longnosed Emperor, Smalltooth Emperor; German Langschnauziger Strassenkehrer; French Lethrinus à Long Museau, Empereur Gueule Longue

TRADITIONAL NAMES: ‘Īroa (RR MG), ‘Īroa / Tara ‘Īroa < ‘Īroa (AK), Hīloa (TS), Hīroa (TW), Palu Yīloa (PK)

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Tahiti; n. to s.Japan; s. to New Caledonia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; PLUS: S.Group, occasional on outer slope; N.Group common in lagoons.; Marine, near-shore

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Excellent eating.

KEY FEATURES: To 84cm SL.(RM91) [ 100cm - GBR]
