COMMON NAMES: Bluelined Triggerfish, Blueline Triggerfish

TRADITIONAL NAMES: Kōkiri (AT), Yimu (PK)

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Maldives - Tuamotu, Hawai‘i; n. to s.Japan; s. to s.Cooks

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group (RR, ?); N.Group (PK, ?); Marine, near-shore and deepbottom; 15-200m

KEY FEATURES: Round-faced, deep-bodied fish, to 30cmSL. Pink to red, darker above; Lateral Line blue; chin and check with blue lines; Tail mainly dark red; Dorsal and Anal uniform pale or dark.
