General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Japan - Australia - Tahiti - Hawai‘i

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: Carapace LxW, 15x25mm. Front slightly convex, two broad lobes separated by shallow V-notch. Chelipeds smooth; Propodus - upper inner edge crested, with 4 teeth in all. Crest of basal anntennal segment is smooth.

SIMILAR SPECIES: This species has 4 teeth on propodus, while T. admete, T. edwardsi and T. quadrilobata all have about 6 teeth.
