COMMON NAMES: Adhesive-Anemone Prawn

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE brevicarpalis: e.Africa - s.China Sea - Line Islands

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: RR 1998 Arorangi specimen 2cm; uniform green with white and cream patches and bands. Head and antennae green, but eyes pale tipped and with cream patch on stalk; thorax with large cream patches, outlined in white and blue, on dorsal and lateral surfaces; abdomen green with posterior white band outlined in white and black; tail with four bands, forward band green, second white, third green with black, and posterior band white with two lateral black spots.
