COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; S.Group (Aitutaki and Rarotonga only); Marine, near-shore, lagoon

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; RedList, Globally and Nationally endangered

SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
BIODIVERSITY: RedList, Globally and Nationally endangered. Comment: Redlist VU A2cd (Vulnerable, Population reduction of at least 20%, Conservation Dependent).. Comments: Cites listed

GENERAL NOTE: In 1986 2,000 were introduced to Aitutaki from Palau. About 200 survived a year. By 2000 some had grown well and may be naturalised.
