General Information

COMMON NAMES: Native-Fig Pollinator

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE western Pacific - Marquesas

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group; ?; Land

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Pollinator

KEY FEATURES: A tiny wasp, female has a total length about 1.4mm. male is smaller.

SIMILAR SPECIES: This wasp is the pollinator of Ficus prolixa subcordata, the subspecies from the western Pacific to the Marquesas. It probably includes the type in the Cook Islands.
