General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Australia - PNG - Cooks

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; S.Group - widespread; N.Group - widespread (species ID?); Freshwater, wetlands - ponds - slow streams

KEY FEATURES: Shell is bulbous with short spire, to 20mm long, with a left-hand spire (=sinistral, when looking at opening it opens on your left).
