General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE PNG - w.Pacific - Cooks

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Freshwater, streams

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Nationally endangered (seriously)

KEY FEATURES: Body whorl of shell encloses the spire, to 20mm. Shell brown with dark netted pattern. Columella, flat without a canal, with 12-16 fine teeth, yellow-orange turning red at upper edge; operculum yellow with grey radial stripes and a red-brown border.
