General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE New Guinea - New Caledonia - Cooks - Tahiti

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Polynesian, Naturalised; S.Group only (RR, AT, ?); Freshwater to brackish, wetlands - ponds - slow streams

KEY FEATURES: A long turret-shaped shell, to 50mm. Shell uniformly brown; each whorl upper half with strong vertical ridges and lower half with spiral lines.
